CICRA : better lives for children with crohns and colitis

Crohn's disease and Ulcerative colitis, collectively known as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), are chronic diseases of the digestive tract being increasingly diagnosed in childhood. Symptoms include severe pain and exhaustion. Drugs used to treat these conditions help but do not cure and can have serious side effects. We are CICRA and we are leading research into better treatments, supporting children and families with relevant information and advice, working with health professionals to improve care and we are giving children a voice to increase public understanding of the impact of crohns and colitis on childhood.
