South East: Berkshire - Berkshire Weekend Walkers

The Berkshire Weekend Walkers is part of the Ramblers (UK hiking association) and provides walks and social events in and around the English county of Berkshire.

As there is already a group for people in their 20s and 30s in Berkshire, our membership is mainly made up of people in their 40s and older but we welcome people of any age.

We generally have a walk every weekend, all year round, on either a Saturday or Sunday. Some of these walks are organised jointly with other Ramblers groups in the area.

Our walks generally range in length from five to fifteen miles, and each walk is graded in difficulty based on terrain and pace. Each leader brings their own style to their walks, giving variety to the programme.

Walks normally include a picnic lunch stop (bring your own packed lunch) and often also include a stop at a country pub along the way, providing refreshment and an opportunity to socialise more with your fellow walkers.
